Our 2nd Summer Art Exhibition

We have many talented artists in the club, all with learning disabilities and / or autism. They love to see their work displayed to the public in this beautiful setting at Royal Porcelain Works, where we meet every Monday evening.

Our charity’s theme for this year is ‘Health & Happiness’. In everything we do we hope to improve the mental and physical health of adults with learning disabilities and autism. The period of the pandemic has been a very difficult one for our members – life skills and independence have been lost. We chose this theme of Health & Happiness for the year because we understand the importance to people’s health of socialising and meeting friends, of meaningful activities, of playing sport, enjoying movement and games, and sharing meals with others. Loneliness is more damaging to longterm health outcomes than smoking. Improving the health and happiness of our members is the central part of our recovery pathway from the pandemic years.
